Andrew Otchie (UK) | Rita Klapwijk-Poppe (NL) | Paulius Saudargas (LT)  


 

Andrew Otchie (UK)

Andrew is a law graduate from South Bank University. He gained his Masters degree from Queen Mary's College. He is a CAB Advice Worker and worships at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in Elephant & Castle. He stood for Parliament in Northampton during the 2005 General Election and for the North East London constituency for the London Assembly elections as a candidate for the Christian Peoples Alliance (CPA). Andrew has campaigned on greater accountability in financial management at the GLA, more inclusiveness and democracy for those marginalized in society - especially those he meets in the course of his advice work.   

 

Rita Klapwijk-Poppe (NL) 

 Rita studied International Relations (specialization in European cooperation) in Groningen, in the North of the Netherlands. She became personal assistant and policy maker with the ChristenUnie in the Dutch national parliament in January 2006. In this job she got to know the whole political process (initiatives, legislation, debate, campaigning, forming of the government) from the inside. She was international secretary for PerspectieF ChristianUnion Youth for two years and ran in the local and national elections in 2006.   

 

Paulius Saudargas (LT)

Paulius is a phd student in the Institute of Physics. He gained his Masters degree in Biophysics from the Faculty of Physics at  Vilnius University . Paulius works as a research scientist in the Institute of Physics . Since 2000 he is involved in politics as a member of the Lithuanian Christian Democrats (Lietuvos krikscionys demokratai – LKD).  He is member of the board and secretary general of LKD. Paulius is also chairman of the NGO: “For Civil Society” (“Uz Pilietine Visuomene”) and a board member of Lithuanian Youth Organization Council (Lietuvos Jaunimo Organizaciju Taryba – LiJOT). He ran for the local council of Vilnius in 2000; for Parlament in Plunge-Rietavas during the 2005 elections; and will be running for the local council of Vilnius in February 2007.
