The Winter School of the ECPYN will be devoted to the topic “Morality and Politics. The principles of Christian Democracy”. The event will take place in Lviv, Ukraine on January 8-13, 2011.

The Winter School will provide the participants both from EU and non-EU countries an opportunity to discuss the core issues of morality and political activities. We also will have a closer look to modern political tendencies in Ukraine, positive and negative aspects of different political ideologies and economic models and the influence of postmodernism in the political elite and informational society. Focus of the conference will be the moral principles on political theory and practice.

Ukrainian and European politicians, church representatives, political analysts and technologists as well as writers and poets will share their vision  to morality in politics and the future of Ukraine on the European political arena.

Besides this, you will have a chance to experience unforgettable winter celebrations in the west of Ukraine - unique, beautiful and ancient traditions of the country. The Winter School will be held in the cultural capital of Ukraine – Lviv – so many interesting things are waiting for you there as this city is included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

The Carpathian mountains, situated not far from Lviv are also hiding many mysterious attractions which we hope to show to our guests during the Winter School 2011.

The participation fee will be 60 EUR. Participants can apply for reimbursement of travelling costs, Central and Eastern Europeans are most likely to be elligible for some form of reimbursement.
