About ECPYN
General introduction

The European Christian Political Youth Network has a clear mission statement:

To build together on Christian politics in Europe by collaboration, exchange of experience and active participation.

ECPYNis established in July 2004 in Kortenberg (near Brussels). During the Summer School of 2004, organized by PerspectieF (Dutch ChristianUnion Youth), the representatives of the 8 youth organisations present, decided to establish a youth network based on the Lakitelek-declarations. These declarations are signed by a number of Christian political parties from all over Europe. TheLakitelek Declarations are a good foundation for the European Christian Political Youth Network too.
In December 2006 we agreed on a revision of the vision of ECPYN under the title ' A Christian-Social Contribution to Europe'.

ECPYN is an ever growing network with member organisations from all over Europe. We see great opportunities to work on Christian politics in Europe. And, with the entrance to the European Union of 10 member states, mostly from Eastern Europe, these opportunities have increased.

In our organisation the Word of God is the foundation for all our activities. We try to translate the Word of God into concrete Christian-social politics. We are convinced that human beings are related to God, to other people and to the creation around us. That is what Christian-social politics is all about. We call this: Relation-politics. Would you like to work together with the other member-organisations, or do you want to make your organisation member of the ECPYN?
